Borders Athletics Formed

A new organization that promotes field athletics has been formed and is due to hold it inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April the 18th 2007. After much deliberation between the Borders Games committees it was decided that athletes within the borders region were not receiving the support they should to develop their talent. As a result they have joined forces and have formed the Borders Athletics (BA)

The sole aim of BA is to promote athletics from the grass roots and assist runners in their development. Working closely with other national organizations such as Scottish Athletics (SA) and other agencies within the Borders it is hoped that athletes  will be able to improve over the season without the inconvenience of long distance traveling to other meetings. To aid this THREE new meeting have been planned to fill in the gaps between established Border Games. See the EVENTS page for more details.
