What a difference a week makes. Graham Lister from Kirkcaldy picks up a massive 6 points at Morebattle Border Games, to storm to the top spot and take the 2011 Borders Athletics League title. Commenting on a succesful day, Graham says " Winning the One Lap at Morebattle was more than I could ask for, but the day was topped off when I had realised that I had also won the BA League for 2011" Graham also picked up a point in the 800m Open which meant he won the BA league by two clear points from Rory Anderson of Hawick in 2nd place and Colin Welsh of Kelso in third.

Darcy Graham of Hawick cemented his position at the top of the Junior Borders Ahtletics League way back at Langholm, late challenges by the Moorfoots Ruaridh Britton and Kelso AC's Josh Abbot were not enough to catch Darcy, who has picked up most of his points in the latter half of the season after starting his winning ways at his home town games in Hawick. Darcy tells us " I am delighted I managed to hold on to the top of the league and win the league for this year. Not picking up points recently was always a concern but thanfully my hard work in the season has paid off". Whilst Darcy had a healthy 19 points, Ruaridh and Josh shared 14 points, with Ruaridh having more top places he took the second slot and Josh took third.

BORDERS ATHLETICS LEAGUE UPDATE

Only three meetings left before the BSLT CLASSIC but the positioning in the BA Leagues is also hotting up. No points at Oxton Border Games for Hawicks' Rory Anderson meant a chance for the pack to close the gap and for Rory to remain on 18 points. Craig Grieve from T.L.J.T. has done just that with back to back wins in St Ronans and Oxton racing him up the leader board to sit just behind Rory and only 3 points adrift on 15 points. Graham Lister of Kirkcaldy and Connor Hedley from Ellington are both sitting on 14 points just one point behind Craig. With all 4 running at Langholm there is still all to play for.

Darcy Graham from Hawick is pulling away from the others in the BA Youths League with 19 points, winning in the Youths 90m and the Youths 200m gave him 6 much welcomed points and increasing his lead from his nearest rivals Josh Dougall of T.L.J.T on 12 points and Euan Pettigrew of Kelso AC on 11 points, both who have not had any points since Kelso. Creeping up and joining Euan on 11 points is Josh's stablemate Grant Goodfellow and Moorfoots runner Ruaridh Britton. The top 5 are all running at Langolhm this Friday.
