The Borders Athletics 2019 season commenced yesterday at Earlston and the weather was extremely kind with the rain falling just as the meeting finished.
The main event of the day the Open 90m produced a belter of a finish with Dylan Murray, TLJT just holding off Brodie Cowan, Jed AC by the most slender of margins.
In the 200m Tommy Finkle, TLJT held off a late charge by Craig Smith, Jedburgh to gain the honours.
In the 800m a photo finish was required which doesn’t happen often with Danielle Lockie just holding off her team mate Emma Brus both of TLJT.
In the 90m A Race Ryan McMichan, Hawick emerged triumphant from Lana Stanger, Hawick.
The 90m B Race Tiegan Gibb, Leithenburn took the honours from Chloe Inglis, Hawick Riverside Peds.
