There was absolutely no need for the waterproofs at Langholm Common Riding yesterday as the games were blessed with excellent weather.
Oh how good it was to keep the waterproofs firmly in the backpack. St Ronan’s were blessed with an excellent afternoon weather wise plus a fantastic day of racing.
Jedburgh Border Games commenced on Saturday in what can only be described as foul weather conditions and for a time looked like would persist for the afternoon. Fortunately however, it suddenly brightened up to a glorious day.
Well the Scottish weather was unpredictable as ever for City of Edinburgh Running Festival last night with a miserable start to the evening then the rain clearing away with the sun appearing.

At Kelso Border Games today it was waterproofs on then off and as the meeting came to a conclusion some sunshine. ☀️
That said the weather did not detract from what was an excellent meeting producing some fine finishes.
Driving to Peebles today there were warning signs of heavy rain forecast but fortunately, Peebles Beltane Sports were blessed with a fantastic day.
The forecast showers did not materialise today and it turned out an extremely pleasant day at Selkirk Border Games and here are the full results.
